Sigh…

For a moment he sat still staring at the lab wall.

Tony felt the gust of wind as the speedy mutant switched seats.

Again.

Now he sat backwards in a rolly chair, his arms propped up on the backrest and his chin resting in the crook of his elbow.

Sigh…

Once again, he exhaled. He began swishing his leg back and forth causing the chair to move slightly and squeak.

A gust of air hit Tony once again, signaling the movement of his unwanted companion who was now perched on a stool.

Another quick movement and he was sitting upside down in the rolly chair spinning in a slow circle.

Sigh.

Tony sat the wrench down with a loud clang.

“Can you do that somewhere else?” Irritation filled his tone as he glared at the silver haired man.

Pietro’s gaze was one of innocence and confusion.

“I haven’t done anything though.” Tony’s eye twitched.

“Either hold still or go bug someone else.”

He opened his mouth to argue then closed it. Tony watched him for a moment, then, thinking that he had won, picked up his wrench once again.

Let’s see how long this lasts…

10…

CRASH

Tony’s eyes blazed with anger as he glared at the man who now sat sprawled on the ground in a pile of scrap metal, the rolly chair embedded in the lab wall.

“How did y-” Tony stopped and closed his eyes. “You know what. Nevermind. Why don’t you go bug (y/n) or something?”

Pietro’s face lit up at the thought of the (h/c) beauty who had, not too long ago, joined the Avengers. He had been one of the first to be introduced to her and was also the first to experience her power.

He had made the mistake of getting too close, too fast. Without proper warning he startled her and ended up with enough electricity flowing through his body to cause his muscles to lock up.

Luckily he recovered quickly and after she finished her apology speech they got along rather well.

Sparks flew whenever he got near her, mainly because of her mutation that caused her body to continuously generate electricity, but he liked to think it was for other reasons, also.

In a blur of speed, he set off to search for the shockingly-pun intended-beautiful girl.

“Finally…” Tony mumbled.

~Meanwhile~

A sigh left her lips as she sat curled up on the stomach of a Snorlax beanbag chair. It was surprisingly peaceful in Stark Tower’s library.

She savored the moment, knowing full well that it wouldn’t last long.

A gust of air hit her face and she jumped. A small jolt of electricity jumped from her body to his, but his grin didn't waver. She had learned how to manage her powers to an extent where, if startled, the perpetrator would feel only the equivalent of a static shock. All because of Pietro's startling appearances. Her eyes met those of said person who had a tendency to invade her personal space.

“Hello, Pietro.” She gave him a small smile before dropping her eyes back to the book in her hands.

“Watcha’ doin’, (y/n)?” He looked over the back of the book in an attempt to see what she was reading.

“Reading.” She was becoming engrossed in the story, much to Pietro’s dismay.

“You wanna go play a video game?”

The only response he got was a small “hmm” and he realized she wouldn’t be leaving anytime soon.

Going back to the lab was out of the question, so he would have to entertain himself here.

For a while he entertained himself by running around the room and attempting to get the electrified Avenger to acknowledge him.

Eventually, after the longest ten minutes of Pietro’s life...he had an idea.

At first she didn’t notice the books piling up around her. That is, until they got to eye level.

Her head snapped up from the page and she glanced around. Three walls of books now stood a foot above her head around where she sat.

“What the…”

The blur of silver that quickly put the fourth wall in place, complete with arched doorway of books, answered her question.

“Pietro, what are you doing?” Her voice met empty air and silence was the reply, until said mutant appeared with a large blanket just outside the doorway.

A grin dominated his face as he covered the top of the small room with the blanket. He appeared beside her a second later.

“Book fort.” Was all he said, but the large grin on his face revealed how proud he was of himself.

She looked around once again before returning her gaze to her friend.

“This is amazing.” She said with a grin.

At that moment she could have sworn his face went slightly pink.

“You really think so?”

“Of course.” She leaned over and gave him a small kiss on the cheek, complete with a small jolt of electricity running from her body to his, just before returning to her book.

Out of the corner of her eye she saw his face go completely red as he stared at her.

The book was plucked suddenly out of her hands and warm breath hit her face.

“You expect me to let you read after that?”

Now it was her turn to blush, which brought a mischievous grin to the man’s face.

His lips pressed softly to her’s. Electricity ran through her body as she tried to refrain from shocking him. She wrapped her arms around his neck and ran a hand through his hair. Small pricks of electricity shot through Pietro's skin where her fingers touched, encouraging him to lean into the kiss. The girl shifted so she could lean back forgetting the unstable wall behind them.

Tony’s mind was still in the lab as he approached the library doors. He searched his mind for the title of the book that he needed in order to finish his newest contraption.

His hand was on the door handle when he heard a loud crash.

Pietro.

The door flung wide and he was met with a pile of books covered with a blanket in the middle of the floor.

Movement from under the pile caused Tony to stay silent. The books were pushed away to reveal a disheveled (y/n) and Pietro.

“Maybe next time we kiss somewhere other than a book fort.” The blushing girl said, not noticing their audience of one.

“Yeah,” Pietro chuckled, “That’s probably a good idea.”

Laughter echoed from the doorway as both spun to look at Tony, who was now doubled over.

“You made your move in a BOOK FORT?”
